How much does it cost?

Early bird entry fee is $135 (+ transaction fees) by Friday 7 May.

Standard entry fee is $145 (+ transaction fees) by Friday 11 June

Late entry fee is $160 (+ transaction fees) by Friday 30 July, if not sold out earlier. Preferred jersey sizes may not be available for late registrations.

What do I get as a rider?

All riders receive an exclusive 2021 event jersey (sizing chart available here), on course nutrition and mechanic support throughout the ride.

There will be hydration, bars, gels, bananas and savoury items provided at the pit stop locations at Stanwell Tops, Wollongong, Kiama and a free BBQ at the finish line in Berry. 

There will also be a post ride event at the Great Southern Hotel in Berry on Saturday evening, with meal deals for purchase via the bistro.

Please note that only road bikes are able to be utilised (no TT / triathlon or mountain bikes).

Which group should I ride in?

There will be seven riding groups, each departing from Bondi at 6:15am and total distance of the ride will be 155km (approximate elevation of 1,700m).

Group 1 will be riding with an average pace of 30-35km / hour and group 1A is average pace of 30km / hour. Group 2 and group 3 riding at average of around 25-30km / hour. Groups 4 and 5 at an average of approximately 20-25km / hour and group 6 is the designated Wilson Asset Management group.

Please note that the ride is an open road event, adhering to normal road rules. Each group will be riding 2 abreast as a pack, and will remain together as a riding group for the duration of the ride.

Training Rides

Training rides will be organised and all registered riders will need to join us for at least three training rides.  Training rides depart from Centennial Park, and allow riders to meet fellow participants and get you used to riding as a pack on parts of the official Bondi2Berry route. Specific details and routes for each ride will be provided in rider newsletters.

Rescheduled training ride schedule:

  • Training ride 1 – Sunday 17 October – 90km / 550m elevation
  • Training ride 2 – Sunday 24 October – 105km / 950m elevation
  • Training ride 3 – Saturday 30 October – 118km / 1,220m elevation
  • Training ride 4 – Saturday 6 November – 123km / 1,440m elevation

Fundraising

All riders will need to fundraise a minimum of $500, and set up an individual fundraising page via Grassrootz. Fundraising incentives for every rider – 15% discount on merchandise when you reach $750, and free bib shorts (valued at $130) if you commit to fundraise $1,000 by Friday 25 June.

Insurance / Cycling Australia Membership

Please note, to participate in the Bondi2Berry ride, you must have a valid Cycling Australia Membership. If you do not have a current CA Membership, a day license will provided for you as part of your registration (note, an additional $20 will be charged) which provides coverage on event day only.

We strongly encourage all cyclists to have some form of cycling insurance which covers personal and third party, for training and every day commuting and cycling.

Please check your jersey size (sizing chart available here) and have your Cycling Australia Membership number available if you have one.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be provided to riders who wish to withdraw from the ride in line with the below schedule (all refunds will incur a $10 administration and transfer fee)

By 5pm on 25 June 2021 – Full refund of registration

By 5pm on 30 July 2021 – 50% refund of registration

By 5pm on 13 August 2021 – 25% refund of registration; after which no refund is available.
