A night to celebrate 7 years of Bondi2Berry and the contributions we have made to dementia awareness.

Paint the town celeste over a three course dinner and drinks package with amazing speakers and entertainment. The Bondi2Berry balloons bonanza is back, as well as great raffle prizes and amazing auction items.

Panel discussion – sport and dementia

Fox Sports news presenter Alissa Smith hosts a panel discussion on sport and dementia featuring:

  • Craig Alexander OAM – 5 x World Champion Triathlete; Craig’s dad is diagnosed with vascular dementia
  • Andrew Reid – Bondi Rescue Lifeguard; Reidy’s mum is diagnosed with dementia
  • Michael Lipman – International rugby union player for Melbourne Rebels and England; Michael has been diagnosed with probably CTE & early onset dementia
  • Dr Rowena Mobbs – Expert in cognitive neurology and an advocate for care and research in concussion and dementia

Jason van Genderen

Filmmaker Jason van Genderen accidently made his 87yo mum (Oma) a viral star last year when he created a Coles lockdown supermarket surprise for Oma inside their home. The video became a global news story viewed by well over 100,000,000. Jason will be sharing his family’s personal journey navigating dementia, with glimpses of their upcoming feature documentary ‘Everybody’s Oma’. You can follow them on Instagram at @omasapplesauce.

We are delighted to announce your hosts for the night – Alissa Smith and Mike Tomalaris.

Fox Sports News presenter Alissa Smith is an accomplished journalist and host involved in sport, events and TV broadcast for nearly 20 years. Joining Alissa is former SBS Tour De France anchor and legendary cycling commentator, Mike Tomalaris.

The incredibly talented Sian Fuller to perform at the Bondi2Berry Gala Dinner. The Sutherland local was a semi finalist on the Voice in 2021, with an unexpected blind audition turning all four judges chairs.

  • Should Covid-19 restrictions result in this event not able to take place on Thursday 21 April 2022, we will postpone to a date in the future:
    • All tickets will automatically be transferred to this new date
    • Should the new date not be suitable we will refund your ticket purchase
  • Non Covid-19 related refund policy is as per the below:
    • By 5pm on 24 February 2022 – 100% refund of ticket price
    • By 5pm on 24 March 2022 – 75% refund of ticket price
    • By 5pm on 7 April 2022 – 25% refund of ticket price
  • Please note, all refunds will incur a $20 administration and transfer fee
