2020 will see us ride through the world famous Blue Mountains – Bondi2BlueMountains – a 4 day ride, 650km with 7,500m of elevation!
From Saturday 12 to Tuesday 15 September – starting with the Bondi2Berry ride on day 1, two groups of around 20 riders will continue from Berry through Kangaroo Valley to Goulburn. Day 3 sees us ride north to the Blue Mountains for an overnight stop in Lithgow, before returning to Sydney on day 4.
Why are we riding?
Our reasoning hasn’t changed, it’s intensified. There are about 435,000 reasons why – that number is the staggering statistic of Australian’s currently living with dementia. There are around 1.5 million Australians in their care. Chances are you are directly affected by this disease, or know someone who is.
We’ll be visiting some great communities along the way, riding to remember our loved ones, and raising awareness of dementia.
Here’s the 4 day summary (may change as planning is finalised):
Day 1 / Saturday 12 September – Bondi2Berry – 155 km / 1,700m
Day 2 / Sunday 13 September – Berry to Goulburn – 130 km / 1,700m
Day 3 / Monday 14 September – Goulburn to Lithgow – 200 km / 2,700m
Day 4 / Tuesday 15 September – Lithgow to Sydney – 150 km / 1,300m
