Postponed to March 2021
2021 will see us ride through the world famous Blue Mountains – Bondi2BlueMountains – a 4 day ride, 650km with 7,500m of elevation!
From Saturday 6 to Tuesday 9 March – two groups of 20 riders will ride to the Blue Mountains and back to Sydney via Goulburn and Kiama.
Why are we riding?
Our reasoning hasn’t changed, it’s intensified. There are about 435,000 reasons why – that number is the staggering statistic of Australian’s currently living with dementia. There are around 1.5 million Australians in their care. Chances are you are directly affected by this disease, or know someone who is.
We’ll be visiting some great communities along the way, riding to remember our loved ones, and raising awareness of dementia.
Here’s the 4 day summary (yet to be finalised):
Day 1 / Saturday 6 March – Sydney to Lithgow – 155 km / 2,800m
Day 2 / Sunday 7 March – Lithgow to Goulburn – 210 km / 3,200m
Day 3 / Monday 8 March – Goulburn to Kiama – 155 km / 1,800m
Day 4 / Tuesday 9 March – Kiama to Sydney – 120 km / 1,100m
Costs and Fundraising
Registration fee for the Bondi2BlueMountains ride is $1,000 which includes 2 complete cycling kits, all accommodation (twin share) and meals plus lots more.
Each rider will need to commit to fundraising a minimum of $2,000. You will receive support from Dementia Australia to help you reach this target.
